Imagine a city…
where every kid in foster care has the support they need to thrive. Where every kid is seen, known and loved. Where every kid has a champion…
…where every kid has someone like you.
When kids in foster care don’t have the relational support they need, they suffer.
But it doesn’t have to be this way…

ABOUT CFK
VISION
A city where every child has a Champion.
MISSION
In the greater Charlotte area, CFK mobilizes the community to be champions for kids experiencing the foster care system.
MODEL
CFK has four simple pathways to help you become a champion for kids in foster care: Foster. Mentor. Serve. Give.
everY child deserves the safety and stability of a loving home.
So, we recruit and train foster parents. We also train people and churches to wrap-around and support the foster families in their communities.
one positive RELATIONSHIP with a caring adult can change the trajectory of a child’s life.
So, we recruit and train mentors for older youth in foster care through our Mentor Match program.
child welfare professionals are essential in protecting our city’s most vulnerable children.
So, we recruit Socialight volunteers to support and encourage front-line child welfare social workers through radical hospitality.
The community is a necessary part of the solution to care for vulnerable children.
So, we mobilize financial partners to support programming and help stabilize youth in the foster care system by meeting immediate, tangible needs through The Landing Platform (formerly CAREnow).
