Job Title: DIGITAL CONTENT COORDINATOR

Location: Charlotte, NC
Position Type: Part-time, 15-20 hours per week, hybrid with weekly in-person requirements at CFK Homebase or greater Charlotte area.

Job Summary: This position will be responsible for strategically and operationally supporting each of CFK’s pathways through the effective use of social media outlets (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) This position will also be responsible for leading all efforts in social media communication and direction including the creation and implementation of a social media strategy, calendar, posting schedule. Other responsibilities include casting vision for social media campaigns, monitoring social media accounts to managing live communications, researching new and effective social media trends/platforms, and data analysis/reporting as it pertains to social media impact and engagement across the organization. Ultimately, this role will help support CFK engagement and communication strategy to support our mission and organizational goals.
Job Requirements:
Lead strategic efforts to develop and execute CFK’s social media strategy including calendar, themes, campaigns, etc. including obtaining a deep understanding of CFK’s pathways to be able to effectively speak to breadth of each program; developing a social media voice that speaks to the organization's target mission and audience and effectively communicate updates, needs, opportunities, or educational content in a timely manner.
Brainstorm and research ideas for original content that supports CFK programming and events, creating compelling graphics, videos, reels, stories to share across social channels (3-5 per week).
Collaborate with “Marketing Team” to develop rolling calendar of social needs, scheduling posts and collectively managing content while also collaborating with CFK team to collect content and identify program highlights and needs to direct content creation.
Communicate effectively with CFK team and leadership on content creation and deadlines, working with leadership to develop a rolling approval and review process.
Ensure brand and brand message are consistent.
Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability, reporting on social media metrics monthly.
Prioritize time-sensitive content including posting of events, updating IG Bios/links, reposting of mentions/collaborations, monitoring and responding to comments and DM’s, and real-time posting for events and daily content as needed.
Perform social media marketing research and develop new strategies for increasing engagement.
Analyze the organization's social media strategy and identify weaknesses, making recommendations and leading efforts for improvements
Research and stay up to date on social media trends and informing team of changes that are relevant to the organization’s social media strategy
Establish relationships with relevant social media influencers to develop a strong network to support engagement
Maintain confidentiality of children in foster care by not sharing names, faces, or any identifying information and always promoting dignity and diversity through voice and visual content.
Depending on the strengths of the applicant, this role may also be responsible for engaging in overall marketing and communications strategy, basic website design revisions and updates, supporting through photography and videography, and/or the creation of both digital and print marketing collateral.
Qualifications:
3-5 years social media or marketing/communications experiences
Proven track record of marketing/content creation (portfolio requested upon interview)
Ability to work in a highly collaborative space, team player
Detail orientated with exceptional communication skills
Strategic thinker with experience setting goals and measuring progress
Experience with social media platforms required (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
Experience utilizing design platforms (Canva, Adobe, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office Suite; experience using Slack a plus
Additional experience with communications and/or basic web design a plus (MailChimp, SendGrid, Squarespace)
Photography, videography, web design, or similar skills a plus
Highly motivated, tech savvy, self -starter with positive attitude
Experience with the child welfare system a plus
CFK is a faith fueled nonprofit with statements of faith in which all team and board members believe in. This role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement with daytime availability Monday – Friday during CFK’s business hours and In-office/in-person meetings throughout the week as needed (ex. Tuesday morning staff meeting). The Social Media Lead can expect to attend 1-3 additional in-person events per month outside of the weekly staff meeting. This role will require some evening and weekend availability to attend various CFK events.
