Events Team
Great for: People with gifts in hospitality, creativity, organization, or logistics. Ideal for those who enjoy working with others, serving behind the scenes, and creating excellent guest experiences.
The Events Team helps bring CFK events to life by creating welcoming and well-prepared environments. Whether helping with setup, hospitality, decor, or logistics, this team plays a key role in making each event purposeful, smooth, and impactful.
Events Team Expectations:
Annual Event Support: Support planning and onsite execution at CFK’s key annual events, Something Big, Socialight Drive-Thru, or We See You.
Additional Opportunities: Be part of smaller or one-time events throughout the year, including community outreach, church-based gatherings, and other CFK initiatives.
Prayer Team
The Prayer Team covers the foster care community we serve in consistent, intentional prayer. This team intercedes for children, families, child welfare professionals, volunteers, and leadership, believing that prayerful support is foundational to everything we do.
Great for: People with a strong calling to prayer, intercession, and encouragement. Ideal for those who are faithful, dependable, and committed to praying regularly.
Prayer Team Expectations:
Weekly Prayer: Commit to praying for CFK at least once per week. Each week, team members will receive a “prayer on-demand" text with a real-time request or focus area.
Monthly Prayer Call: Join the monthly CFK Prayer Call on the first Friday of every month from 12:12-12:30pm via Zoom. This is a brief but powerful time to unite in prayer as a team.
Annual Prayer Night: Participate in our annual in-person CFK Prayer Night each January. This is a dedicated time to gather as a community and seek God together at the start of the year.
Additional Opportunities: Pray for specific needs shared by foster families, social workers, and volunteer advocates on the digital CFK Prayer Wall.
Delivery Team
Great for: People who enjoy being on the move, have a reliable vehicle, and love acts of service.
The Delivery Team meets tangible needs by ensuring items like care kits, meals, and supplies are delivered with love and reliability to foster families and child welfare partners.

Socialight Team
Great for: People with a gift of encouragement and a heart for serving those who often feel overextended and under-appreciated.
The Socialight Team offers radical hospitality, encouragement, and practical support for frontline child welfare professionals and volunteer advocates as they navigate the daily complexities of secondary trauma and impossibly difficult circumstances. By caring for social workers and Guardian ad Litems (GALs), we help create a stronger, more supported system for children experiencing foster care.
Socialight Team Expectations:
Quarterly Serve Events: Participate in quarterly projects, which may include in-person gatherings at the CFK office or writing personalized encouragement notes from home.
Annual Socialight Events: Serve at our annual in-person Socialight Drive-Thru or We See You, events dedicated to celebrating and encouraging social workers and GALs.
Additional Opportunities: Be among the first to hear about and respond to special opportunities to serve at events like our bi-annual Lunch and Learn and other initiatives throughout the year.
