WE SEE YOU is an over-the-top, multi-church, community-wide event radically celebrating caregivers and advocates in the child welfare space. Think lights, music, incredible speakers, dinner, and tons of awesome giveaways.
2023 Event Recap
On December 5th, 2023 we gathered and honored nearly 400 caregivers, child welfare professionals, and other child advocates for a special evening of holiday fun. We shared a delicious dinner, heard from amazing speakers, listened to encouraging music, and showered them with TONS of giveaways and raffles!
Thanks to our generous church partners, this year we were able to gift over $44,000 worth of giveaways, raffles, and prizes!
Gaelin Elmore
Gaelin Elmore is a motivational speaker, facilitator, lived experience expert, and passionate champion of belonging. His inspiring journey from foster care to the NFL showcases the incredible strength of resilience. Gaelin's unwavering mission is to eliminate the belonging gap that affects youth with backgrounds like his. As a devoted husband and father, he shares his compelling story to motivate and inspire. Jason Johnson
Jason Johnson is coming back for his fourth We See You event to Emcee our evening together! Jason is a writer and speaker who encourages families and equips church and organizational leaders on their foster care and adoption journeys.
He currently serves as the Director of Church Mobilization and Engagement with Christian Alliance for Orphans. In his work he develops resources, coaches leaders and teaches in a variety of contexts on church-based ministry structures, organizational leadership and strategy.
Prior to his work at CAFO Jason spent 14 years in church staff ministry, including planting and pastoring a church in Houston. It’s there that his family's foster care journey began.
Jason and his wife, Emily live in Texas with their daughters. He has authored 4 books: Reframing Foster Care, Everyone Can Do Something, ALL IN Orphan Care and Effectively Engaging Churches. You can find many of his resources at www.jasonjohnsonblog.com.
